The Trial

By setting a clear standard for driver safety, and monitoring and maintaining that standard over a period of 4 months via 1:1 interventions carried out by our expert team of Fleet Analysts, we set out to measure the change in the fleet’s:

  • Number of drivers displaying high-risk behaviour
  • Number of speeding events
  • Fuel consumption
  • Average cost per claim
  • Insurance renewal premium
  • Vehicle maintenance requirements

Reduction in high-risk driving

The Outcome

At the end of the 4-month trial period, we compared the baseline data we took at the start at the period to the most recent data we had available. Here are the highlights:

  • 94% reduction in high-risk driving
  • 160 less drivers displaying high-risk behaviour
  • 50% reduction in speeding events
  • 15% reduction in fuel consumption
  • 54% reduction in average cost per claim (estimated £14,700 saved in claim costs)
  • 33% decrease in renewal premium vs anticipated premium at the start of the period
  • 50% decrease in tyre wear and tear (tyres were lasting twice as long)
