Matrix iQ has appointed Tim Brogan as EVP Sales and Cyndi Brandt as EVP Channel & Partnerships.

Tim has extensive experience in the SaaS market, encompassing asset and fleet tracking solutions, as well as assisting InsurTech companies with their go-to-market (GTM) strategies. He will be responsible for introducing, establishing and growing Matrix iQ across the North American insurance market, replicating the success seen in the UK market since the introduction of the SmartLink and SmartView products.

Previously, Tim has held senior sales and operational roles at companies like Wejo and Callpass. He was also a Co-founder and VP of Business Development for AssureNet, Inc., one of the first Insurtech start-ups in the commercial wheels environment.

He said, “Helping to launch the Matrix iQ network in the American insurance market is a unique opportunity; their TSP agnostic approach is revolutionising the way insurers think about accessing telematics data. UK progress has been phenomenal in the last few years and I’m so excited to show this new customer base what we’re all about.”

His role will involve developing major opportunities and building close relationships with insurance TPAs, brokers, captives and reinsurers. He will also work closely with Matrix iQ partners to develop their offerings on a truly innovative telematics data-agnostic platform.

Cyndi brings a long-standing passion for the commercial trucking vertical. She has developed a deep understanding of vehicles and wholesale distribution in the transportation industry, providing her with expert knowledge in last-mile and over-the-road solutions.

She will focus on aiding the business’s growth through new channel partnerships as it expands its range of unique and innovative stolen asset tracking solutions, primarily launching MagTrack through the Telematics and ELD ecosystem.

Cyndi has held multiple Vice President Sales and Marketing roles throughout her extensive career, notably with Roadnet Technologies, Omnitracs, Solera Inc. and, most recently, with transportation start-ups via Seamark Co.

“I’m excited to bring to the U.S. Matrix iQ’s product line to fulfil the unmet needs of many companies to optimise asset utilisation while thwarting theft. The opportunity in the U.S. is immense as we look to change the way people manage assets.”

Phil Powell, Matrix iQ’s Chief Revenue Officer, said, “We are delighted to bring Tim & Cyndi into our North American business. Their wealth of expertise and unique skill sets make them valuable assets as we enter an exciting phase of growth and opportunity.

“Their arrival signifies a new chapter in our business journey as we scale up for the exponential growth of InsurTech capabilities and technology in the marketplace.”
