Matrix iQ, UK-based specialists in connecting vehicle and driver behaviour data services, and VDO, Europe’s leading provider of tachograph analysis, today announced their partnership.

The collaboration combines advanced telematics and tachograph data, integrating them into a single, unified platform, providing a more comprehensive view of fleet performance, legal compliance, and operational risk.

Fleet operators will gain the ability to monitor driver conduct, risk exposure, and ensure vehicles and drivers remain compliant with transport regulations across borders.

The platform also opens new opportunities for insurers by providing verified tachograph data, including driving behaviour and compliance history, to support more accurate underwriting and enhance claims validation with authenticated data.

Dylan Taylor, Insurance Partnerships Manager at Matrix iQ, says: “This collaboration is a major step forward for our industry. By integrating Matrix iQ’s insights with VDO’s tachograph data, we aim to provide a comprehensive view of driver risk for fleet operators and insurers.”

Ben Klarich, Head of Sales & Marketing UK for VDO says “Partnering with Matrix iQ allows us to unlock the full potential of tachograph data by combining it with advanced telematics insights. Together, we’re giving fleets and insurers a single, reliable source of truth that strengthens compliance and safety and drives smarter decisions and more efficient operations across the industry.”

The platform is already being rolled out to both Matrix iQ and VDO customers, with broader availability planned in the coming months.
