West Pennine Insurance Group approached us with a clear objective: to increase customer satisfaction and retention by offering their policyholders a reliable way to protect high-value vehicles against theft. They needed a solution that was quick and easy to install, avoiding delays in setup and the high costs associated with complex installations.
Discretion was also crucial – the device needed to be small and difficult to locate, reducing the risk of thieves finding and removing it. To ensure maximum insurance value for their customers, the device had to be Thatcham S7 certified, opening opportunities for potential policy discounts. Additionally, West Pennine Insurance Group required a solution linked to a Stolen Asset Recovery Network (S.A.R.N) to maximise the chances of recovering stolen vehicles swiftly and safely.
The Trial
To demonstrate the effectiveness of our solution, we agreed to run a live trial of MagTrack, our magnetic tracking device designed precisely for scenarios like this. Early one morning, one of West Pennine’s vehicles was hidden inside a shipping container at an undisclosed location, with a MagTrack device discreetly attached. At 10:27am, Theft Mode was activated, and our team quickly verified the vehicle details to initiate the recovery process without delay.
